Kut University College was established in the academic year 2012-2013 in three sections: the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Arabic Language, and the Department of Laser Engineering and Visual Electronics. Its founder, Dr. Talib Zaidan Al-Mousawi, Chairman of its Board, emphasized administrative, financial independence, and scientific flexibility of development and creativity, which makes it a special pattern for Iraqi higher education. This education is at a discreet scientific level for its graduates through the scientific supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - the Department of National University Education, and it is guided by university scientific traditions.
